PA State Council Vietnam Veterans of America
Pennsylvania State Council
Pennsylvania Vietnam Veterans know what returning veterans face. We have been through it before and we know that, despite all the rhetoric, returning veterans will face major problems. Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) will be there to make sure that those who serve our country receive the care and respect they have earned.
The Pennsylvania State Council supports the local chapters in Pennsylvania by coordinating its activities and programs with the state chapters to ensure that successes gained at the national level are implemented locally.
VVA chapters strive for locally originated action to assist veterans and other needy members of their communities. These volunteer programs offer unique and innovative services. They include support for homeless veterans, PTSD and substance-abuse education, veterans’ health care, toxic exposure, veterans incarcerated and in the justice system, women veterans, claims assistance, as well as several other programs including local community support and relief to other communities affected by natural disasters.
