PA State Council Conference Meeting
October 15-16, 2021

PA State Council Conference

October 15-16, 2021

Ramada Inn & Conference Center

1450 S. Atherton Street

State College, PA 16801

814-238-3001

The PASC Board of Directors will meet on Friday evening, October 15th at 7:00 PM.  Only the elected officers and BOD members are required to attend, but all VVA members are invited.  Friday night hotel reservations for the officers & district directors will be paid by PASC.

The VVA General Membership Meeting will be on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 am until approximately 6:00 pm.  A box lunch will be provided with a noon and a mid-afternoon break.  During that time, officers, directors, and committee “chairs” will discuss and present issues to all conference attendees, and will include any necessary votes by the delegates.  The Conference will end and adjourn by 6:00 PM.  The AVVA State Conference will be simultaneously held on Saturday, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

As we did in June, in order to make it easier and less costly to attend, we consolidated the General Membership Conference into a single day.  We also changed the agenda to allow the opportunity for everyone to participate and share their opinions on all subject material and committee matters, including the ability for delegates to vote on all issues if required.

We have important information to share with our membership, so it is very important that all chapters send as many of their authorized delegates as possible to this conference.  We need to educate and update ourselves on current events that effect PA veterans and prepare for the VVA National Convention on November 2-6, 2021, at which time we may determine and decide on the future of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc.

Travel and Hotel reservations:

Hotel reservations are optional for chapter delegates and other attendees.  You could:

  1. Go to State College on Saturday morning, attend the membership meetings from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and then go back home, with no hotel overnight stay or expense.

  2. Make your own hotel reservations for Friday night, for Saturday night, or for both nights, and attend the membership meeting on Saturday.  If you stay overnight, breakfast is complementary, and the restaurant will be open for breakfast and dinner only.

If there are any questions, please call one of the PASC Officers.  Phone numbers and email addresses are listed on the pasc website at: www.vva-pa.org.
